We all know how Instagram beat Snapchat by introducing stories into the Instagram app. This time Instagram launched IGTV to compete with YouTube.
TechCrunch reported ahead of IGTV launch about the launch of new Instagram app which focus on long form video.
Instagram launched this app at an event happened in San Fransisco. The company announced that they are now allowing content creators to upload longer videos up to one hour in length before Instagram was allowing only one-minute videos.
Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom wrote “It’s time for video to move forward, and evolve. IGTV is for watching long-form videos from your creators.” in Instagram’s business blog.
IGTV will let everyone on the Instagram to upload one-hour verticle videos through Instagram’s app or the web.
